1. What we collect
Nothing. Hackshot does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, usage analytics, crash reports, device identifiers, location, contacts, or photos.
There is no account, no login, no cloud sync, no telemetry, no third-party analytics SDK, no advertising SDK.
2. Network access
Hackshot does not include any networking code that contacts our servers, because we do not operate any servers. The app functions entirely on your device, offline.
The only network activity that may occur is initiated by iOS itself — for example, when you save a captured photo, iOS may sync that photo to your iCloud Photo Library if you have iCloud Photos enabled. That sync is performed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy and is outside Hackshot's control.
3. Permissions we request
| Permission | Why we need it | Required? |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | To show a live viewfinder and take photos. The app cannot function without it. | Yes |
| Photo Library (Add Only) | To save the photo you just took into your library. | Yes |
We do not request:
- Location
- Microphone
- Contacts
- Full Photo Library read access
- Notifications
- Background refresh
- Tracking (IDFA)
4. Third-party services
None. Hackshot embeds no third-party SDKs, no analytics frameworks, no advertising networks, no crash reporters.
5. Children's privacy
Hackshot is suitable for general audiences. Because Hackshot does not collect any data from any user, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The app contains no advertising, in-app purchases, or social features.
6. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / PIPL summary)
Because Hackshot collects no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You retain full control of any photos you take — they live in your iOS Photo Library and you may delete them at any time through the standard Photos app.
- EU residents (GDPR): No personal data is processed by us; you have no data with us to invoke Articles 15–22 against. Apple's role as platform operator is governed by Apple's own policy.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell or share personal information, because we do not have any.
- China mainland residents (PIPL): Hackshot is not engaged in any practical "personal-information processing" scenario as defined by the PIPL, because it neither collects nor transmits personal information. For questions, contact the email below.
7. Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the app works (e.g. add an opt-in feature that requires the network), we will update this page before shipping that change and bump the effective date above. The app version in the App Store will always match a corresponding version of this policy.
8. Governing law
This policy is published from the People's Republic of China and is governed by the laws of the PRC, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to users in their country of residence (including GDPR for EU users and CCPA/CPRA for California users).
